Gabi Benitez is an Argentinean-Canadian artist based on Cantley, Quebec. Her interdisciplinary studio practice was complemented with teaching and working with students at various learning levels as well as by her graduate research in education for the arts. She worked as Studio Art Technologist with BFA students at Algoma University for several years. Currently, she is expanding the focus of her MFA graduate research that involves dwelling and space making. Influenced by her immigrant condition in Canada, the topics of reinvention and adjustment through the materiality we inhabit connect with her present work on photography and print media.
